North Shore Surgical Oncology was founded 20 years ago by Myron Arlen, M.D. Dr. Arlen, the senior partner in the group, is Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. The strong tradition of excellence established by Dr. Arlen is shared by his five associates, all of whom are fellowship-trained surgical oncologists and/or colorectal surgeons. 

The group's physicians work as a team, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach for the management of complex problems. All members of the practice are recognized experts in the diagnosis and treatment of both complex and common tumors. Each has lectured and published in his particular field of expertise.
